Science in the Movies: The Good, The Bad, and The Funny: Tuesday, 10/10/17, 6:00 PM, Lewis Lab 270

Professor DeLeo will guide us through science as portrayed in movies and TV shows, past and present. He will show how film has predicted the future, sometimes accurately, and conveyed science, sometimes correctly. But, whether deliberate or not, he will show us how science-in-the-movies can be really, really funny! Pizza and refreshments provided. SPS Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Social: Thursday, 9/7/17, 6:00 PM, Patio on South Side of Sherman Fairchild Lab. 

The Society of Physics students will kick off the new year with a Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Social. In the event of rain, the gathering will be held inside, in the Lobby of Lewis Lab 270. Click for Announcement

Open to anyone interested in science
 
The Amazing Physics Exhibition starts at 6:00 pm in the lobby of LL270 with free food and many stations at which people can interact with physics equipment. At 6:30 pm, Professor DeLeo will be performing a series of demos in LL270. It's going to be an awesome time! Sponsored by the Society of Physics Students. Click for Announcement
